Monique's love of community is poured into her work at Ujamaa Place witnessing transformation of the most marginalized population in society.. In her role analyzing data and reporting performance measurement to internal and external stakeholders, Monique's immersion into qualitative and quantitative storytelling gives community a front row seat to learn about the barriers that Ujamaa men face everyday of their lives. Monique appreciates the tough commitment that the men make to choose hope and to reverse the scars of a lived in extreme poverty. As a data-centric organization, Ujamaa Place gives me the opportunity to train their staff and coaches to utilize data to support high-context mentoring and to continuously improve operation efficiency. Monique coordinated the development of Cultural Financial Literacy curriculum and co-instructs the 10-week cohort offered throughout the year. Monique teaches skills training in "Coding", "Media Production" and "Podcasting" to assist Ujamaa men with competing for high paying jobs of the 21st century.
OMG Digital Media Solutions was founded in 2014 as a Media, Entertainment and Technology consulting firm. Monique is the Past-President of the Minnesota Alliance for Women in Media and serves on the St. Jude/ALSAC Advisory Council. Monique is the author of poverty study, "Disrupting Poverty" and co-founder of the Minnesota Elder Nonviolence Coalition.
Monique holds a BS, Information Technology and an M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.
